7 best hotel chatbots for independent hotels in 2026

If most of your bookings start with “Do you have a room this weekend?” on WhatsApp or Instagram, start with Visito. It is the clearest fit here for an independent hotel that wants to quote live inventory, collect payment and keep the confirmation in the same conversation.

AskSuite is the one to inspect first when your booking engine is the constraint. HiJiffy makes more sense for a multilingual group with several properties. Canary and Akia lean further into the stay itself. Myma.ai covers more channels, including voice, while Quinta is the broadest hotel-data project on this list.

Which three should you shortlist first?

Most independent hotels can narrow the first round to these three. The other four become more relevant when guest operations, voice or hotel-data management matter as much as direct booking.

Why is choosing a hotel chatbot harder than it looks?

Almost every product says it uses AI, supports several channels and connects to hotel systems. Those phrases do not tell you whether a guest can get a live rate, pay and receive a confirmed reservation without the front desk rebuilding the request.

The shortlist changes with the job. Selling rooms in WhatsApp is different from coordinating five properties, automating check-in or cleaning up hotel data for every channel. Start with that job, then compare features.

Why listen to Visito?

Because we build one of the products, not because we are neutral. Visito works with independent hotels where a WhatsApp or Instagram conversation can become a paid booking. That gives us a close view of the workflow and an obvious commercial interest in the answer.

The useful part is the evidence trail: current vendor material, public pricing where it exists, named customer results and visible gaps where it does not. You can disagree with our ranking and still use the same checks in your demos.

How did we check these products?

Visito wrote this comparison, so you should know where the point of view comes from. We checked channels, integrations, setup and pricing against each vendor’s own product pages and documentation in September 2026.

We also kept the gaps visible. “PMS integration” does not automatically mean live rates, and a booking link is not the same as completing payment and confirming the reservation in chat. When a vendor does not publish something, we say that instead of guessing.

How do all seven hotel chatbots compare?

Use this table to decide which demos are worth booking. Confirm the exact PMS, booking engine, country and payment flow before signing.

Why does Latin America change the decision?

In Mexico and across Latin America, a guest may discover the hotel on Instagram, ask for dates on WhatsApp and expect to pay in local currency without starting over. If the handoff drops the dates, room type or language, the fact that the tool uses AI does not help much.

Bring your real PMS, booking engine, country, currency and payment method to the demo. Regional coverage matters more than a long feature list. Our guides to hotel guest messaging, Cloudbeds agents and SiteMinder agents go deeper on those stack decisions.

1. When is Visito the right fit?

Visito homepage showing an AI booking conversation

Visito fits a hotel that already sells in DMs. It connects WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and website chat to live hotel data, then keeps the quote, payment link and booking confirmation tied to the same guest conversation. The current hotel chatbot page and integration directory show the supported systems.

You can start free. Paid hotel plans start at $99 USD per month on the current pricing page, which makes the entry point easier to judge before a sales call.

There is named proof, too. Hotel Singular reported 95% automation of guest conversations, 30% more direct bookings, more than 50x ROI in the first year and over 250 hours saved. Those are one customer’s results, not a promise for every hotel.

The tradeoff is scope. A large chain looking for call-center routing, layers of corporate permissions and a full guest-operations suite will probably want a broader enterprise platform.

2. When does HiJiffy make more sense?

HiJiffy homepage showing its hotel communications platform

HiJiffy starts to look stronger when one property becomes five. It covers webchat, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and OTA inboxes, with cross-property search and centralized routing for hotel groups.

Its Basic, Pro and Premium tiers are public, but the prices are not. Onboarding is managed by HiJiffy, and the company says its Booking Assistant can be set up in as little as three days. Guests finish the reservation on the hotel website; the public material does not document payment inside WhatsApp or Instagram.

Pick it for languages, routing and one console across several properties. A single independent hotel should make sure it needs that operating layer before buying it. Our Visito vs. HiJiffy page handles the narrower comparison.

3. Is AskSuite the safer choice for booking-engine coverage?

AskSuite’s clearest advantage is coverage. It says it works with more than 400 booking engines and brings WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, website chat and email into one hospitality platform.

With a supported connection, it can return live quotes, room details and availability. The guest is then sent to the booking engine to complete the reservation, so we would not describe this as payment inside the chat. AskSuite does not publish a standard setup time.

This is the sensible shortlist choice when your booking engine decides what will work. You will still need a sales call to learn the price, included modules and implementation scope. See Visito vs. AskSuite for the direct comparison.

4. Is Canary better for hotel operations?

Canary Technologies homepage showing its hotel operations platform

Yes, that is where Canary is most convincing. Guest Messaging handles scheduled messages and AI replies across SMS, WhatsApp, OTA inboxes, WeChat, LINE and email. PMS connections bring reservation and guest context into the workflow.

Messaging can be bought as a named product; it does not require adopting every Canary module first. Still, Canary’s real breadth is the larger Guest Management System, with mobile check-in, upsells, checkout and separate payment-link tools. Pricing is not public.

Choose Canary when arrival, in-stay service and staff workload are the problem. If your goal is to turn an Instagram or WhatsApp question into a direct booking, ask to see the exact rate, booking and payment path during the demo.

5. Who is Myma.ai built for?

Myma.ai homepage showing its guest communications platform

Myma.ai is for hotels that want one supplier across more than chat. It covers voice, email, proactive messages and a unified inbox alongside website chat, WhatsApp, SMS, Instagram and OTA channels.

The company documents guided onboarding and a launch in under one week. Supported integrations can expose live rates and availability. What the public material does not show is a standard room-payment flow completed inside a social conversation. Pricing is also private.

Put Myma.ai on the list if voice and email matter as much as WhatsApp. In the demo, pin down the exact PMS connection, price and point where the guest leaves the conversation to finish the reservation.

6. When is Quinta worth the extra scope?

Quinta homepage presenting its hotel data platform

Quinta is not just a chatbot company. The business, formerly Quicktext, now presents itself as a hotel-data platform. Velma handles direct conversion, while Q-Data, Q-Channel and Q-Share structure and distribute hotel information.

Q-I works across chat, WhatsApp and Messenger and connects to PMS and booking engines. Quinta also mentions booking, payment and billing processes, but it does not publish a standard price or show one universal checkout that stays inside the chat.

The extra scope makes sense for a group working on data governance, AI-search visibility and consistency across properties. It is probably too much project for a small hotel that only wants a focused messaging tool.

7. When does Akia make sense?

Akia homepage showing its hotel guest-experience platform

Akia makes sense when the front desk wants help before and during the stay. Its inbox covers SMS, WhatsApp, email, web chat, Facebook Messenger, Instagram and OTA messages, with PMS data used to answer guests.

The Basic, Pro and Max packages are described publicly, although prices require a sales call. Web chat and OTA messaging sit in Basic; WhatsApp and social channels start in Pro. The web-chat flow quotes live rates and sends a booking link rather than documenting payment inside the conversation.

Shortlist Akia for digital check-in, arrival guides, tasks and in-stay messaging. If WhatsApp and Instagram conversion are the main reason you are buying, price the Pro tier and test the booking-link handoff yourself.

How do you choose without wasting weeks on demos?

Start with the job that must work on day one, then eliminate anything that cannot show that flow with your real systems.

  • Independent boutique hotel using WhatsApp and Instagram to sell rooms: Visito.
  • Hotel group needing multilingual routing and one console across properties: HiJiffy.
  • Hotel whose booking engine determines the buying decision: AskSuite.
  • Property modernizing check-in, guest requests and in-stay operations: Canary or Akia.
  • Hotel wanting voice, email and OTA communication alongside chat: Myma.ai.
  • Group investing in structured hotel data and visibility across AI discovery: Quinta.

What else should you know?

What is the best chatbot for an independent hotel?

For a property that depends on WhatsApp and Instagram inquiries and wants live hotel data plus payment connected to the conversation, Visito is the clearest fit. AskSuite is the safer first check when a specific booking engine drives the decision. HiJiffy is the stronger shortlist for a multilingual group.

Which hotel chatbots show live rates and availability?

Visito, HiJiffy, AskSuite, Myma.ai and Akia document live rates or availability through supported PMS or booking-engine integrations. Quinta documents real-time hotel data and booking-engine connections. Canary documents reservation context for Guest Messaging, but its public page does not promise live rate quoting in that module.

Do hotel chatbots accept payment inside WhatsApp?

Sometimes, but “inside WhatsApp” can hide a handoff. Visito sends a secure payment link in the conversation and returns the confirmation to the same thread. Other products commonly send the guest to a booking engine or booking page. Ask to see the payment screen, PMS write-back and failure path before you buy.

Which hotel chatbot has public pricing?

Visito publishes a free plan and states that hotel plans start at $99 USD per month. HiJiffy and Akia publish plan contents without prices. AskSuite states that pricing depends on the hotel. Canary, Myma.ai and Quinta do not publish a standard price on the product pages reviewed.

What should a hotel test during a demo?

Use a real stay request in the channel your guests use. Ask for dates, occupancy, room type, taxes, currency, cancellation terms and payment. Then try a sold-out stay, a reservation change and a human handoff. If staff have to retype the request, the workflow is not ready.
